Bail Bonds
Bail bonds are financial agreements made between a defendant or their representative and a bail bond agent. When someone is arrested and charged with a crime, they may be held in jail until their trial or until they can post bail. Bail is a sum of money or other property that is deposited with the court as a guarantee that the defendant will appear in court for their trial.
If the defendant or their family cannot afford to post bail, they may choose to work with a bail bond agent who will post bail on their behalf. The bail bond agent charges a fee, typically a percentage of the total bail amount, and the defendant or their representative signs a contract agreeing to appear in court for all scheduled hearings and pay the full bail amount if they fail to do so.
If the defendant appears in court as required, the bail bond is returned to the bail bond agent, and the defendant is released from custody. If the defendant fails to appear in court, the bail bond agent may hire a bounty hunter to locate and return the defendant to custody, and the defendant or their representative may be required to pay the full bail amount.

الكفالات القضائية هي اتفاقات مالية تتم بين المتهم أو ممثله ووكيل الكفالة القضائية. عندما يتم اعتقال شخص ما ويتم اتهامه بجريمة، قد يُحتجز في السجن حتى محاكمته أو حتى يتمكن من دفع كفالة. الكفالة هي مبلغ مالي أو ممتلكات أخرى يتم إيداعها لدى المحكمة كضمان لحضور المتهم للمحكمة خلال محاكمته.
إذا لم يتمكن المتهم أو عائلته من دفع الكفالة، فقد يختارون العمل مع وكيل الكفالة القضائية الذي سيتولى دفع الكفالة نيابة عنهم. يتقاضى وكيل الكفالة القضائية رسومًا، عادةً نسبة من إجمالي مبلغ الكفالة، ويقوم المتهم أو ممثله بتوقيع عقد يتعهد فيه بالحضور في المحكمة لجميع الجلسات المقررة ودفع المبلغ الكامل للكفالة إذا فشل في ذلك.
إذا حضر المتهم المحكمة كما هو مطلوب، يتم إعادة الكفالة إلى وكيل الكفالة القضائية، ويتم إطلاق سراح المتهم من الحجز. إذا فشل المتهم في الحضور في المحكمة، فقد يتعين على وكيل الكفالة القضائية توظيف صائد جوائز لتحديد موقع المتهم وإعادته إلى الحجز، وقد يتعين على المتهم أو ممثله دفع المبلغ الكامل للكفالة
